Thinking of Summer

Beach with Bathers

Passed this lovely holiday weekend visiting with friends and family, and especially with my lovely daughter who drove all the way from Virginia to spend this week with us in Vermont.  What did you do this weekend?

  1. My weekend was a major tease for the summer because we spent it at the shore in RI with my inlaws who live there, we rent a few houses down for the month of July. I exercised, went to an art show and collected enough shells for all my students to take one home (well, almost all) after we use magnifying glasses to draw them the last week of school.

  2. Saturday was a trip to the Tacoma Art Museum to see the Norman Rockwell show, along with a fabulous Chihuly show. Sunday church and visiting with some new friends, and Monday was a pancake breakfast and packing bundles of sewing supplies to ship to Afghanistan as part of an ongoing service project, Iraq Bundles of Love. And then dinner with our son and his fiance! Overall, a great weekend of family, art,& service!
